The FLZ offices occupy a floor of a 7-floors building built in the shadow of a prestigious neighbour, Gio Ponti’s Pirelli Skyscraper, with whom it shares the expressiveness of the details and of the technical solutions.

Our aim was to design a space that reflects the characteristics of the client, an engineering startup, and that gives shape to its specific dynamics. A public entrance area contains interview rooms, a perimetral lounge dedicated to informal discussions and a small office for external collaborators. A separate, private area hosts the offices and the coffee lounge.

The project is defined by two parallel ‘walls’ – the first, transparent and light, lines the perimetral windows, and the second, heavy and fragmented, delimitates the central corridor. The original ‘wavy’ ceiling is kept by the design, its expressiveness enhanced and strengthened by the other elements.
