Located in an early 20th-century building in the centre of Milan, the renovation of the flat focused on restoring and enhancing the historic elements while giving it a contemporary and elegant feel.

The dialogue between past and present was therefore the common thread running through the project. Original parquet flooring, decorated doors and window frames, and ceilings with plaster stucco decorations are among the elements that have been restored.

The project aims to maintain the character of a classic Milanese home with a central corridor leading to the various rooms, connoted through a new continuous terrazzo flooring and the use of a pale light blue colour for the walls.

The custom-designed furnishings, such as the walnut and bronzed steel bookcase in the living room, alongside the owners' vintage pieces, once again emphasise the dialogue between history and contemporaneity.
